Martins Dukurs (born 31 March 1984, Riga) is a Latvian skeleton racer. He is a silver medallist at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games, a three-time World Cup winner (2009-2010; 2010-2011; 2011-2012) and a two-time World and three-time European champion. He was awarded the Order of the Three Stars for his achievements at the Olympic Games.
He has been skeleton athlete since 1998 and member of the Latvian Olympic Team since 2004. In the 2009-2010 World Cup, he was the overall winner, also winning four events, including the last one in Eagles, Austria, when he was also the 2010 European Champion. Martin Dukurs is the only athlete from independent Latvia to have won a World Cup overall in a winter sport. In early 2012, he won European Championship gold for the third year in a row, won the overall World Cup title and became World Champion for the second time in his career.
